Postdoctoral position in materials chemistry available
A postdoctoral position will be available in Associate Professor Dan Li’s new stimulating multidisciplinary group at the Department of Materials Engineering, Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in late 2008 or early 2009. Monash is one of the Group of Eight leading Australian universities. The recent rankings of universities in the Times Higher Education Supplement in the UK placed Monash among the top 50 universities in the world.
The group’s research focuses on creating new functional nanomaterials for applications in energy conversion/storage devices, chemical and biomedical sensing, drug delivery, membrane separation, tissue engineering and biomimetics. The multidisciplinary group is part of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science and has established close collaboration with partners in Australia, China and USA. Highly motivated individuals with an excellent publication record and strong interest in interdisciplinary research are encouraged to apply. Applicants with a recent PhD degree in nanomaterials, materials chemistry and physics, biomaterials, nanobiotechnology or membrane separation are favored.
The starting annual salary will be around AU$61,820 or higher, depending on qualifications.
